ERNESTO "ERNIE" MIRANDA
Youth Wrestling Coach
A standout high school wrestler who made a state appearance as a sophomore, Ernesto has stayed close to the sport ever since, regularly training and connecting with his former coach David Mendoza, now at Sacramento City College. With over 10 years in wrestling, that foundation shows every time he steps on the mat or into the cage.
Now transitioning into MMA, Ernesto has built a strong start with a 3-1 amateur record under Thomas Fallon and MMA Gold. Blending his wrestling base with a boxing-heavy style and constant forward pressure, he brings a pace that’s tough to deal with and keeps opponents on the defensive.
Ernesto brings that same experience into coaching the youth program. He focuses on fundamentals, work ethic, and helping kids build confidence through structure and consistency. His background allows him to break things down in a way that’s simple, effective, and keeps young athletes engaged while learning real skills.
